Welcome! I initially made this as a hidey hole for my Plutocrat memes, but I wanted to take it a step further and just gush too!I'm sure it's pretty obvious, but he means alot to me, and I adore literally everything about him and his fight. But I wanna talk about that!It's funny to look back on, as initially I didn't really care too much about him. At most, I just saw the Satellite Investors and thought "oh hey! skelecogs! awesome!", and later (now defunct) OCxCC shenanigans led me to getting attached to them. But that focus on the them slowly started to shift and grow when I was able to actually fight Plutocrat.I fell in love with his fight the very first time I did it, even if I died, even if I had crappy RNG and got hard targeted mid-Deep Freeze, I still was totally enamored! Even my bad runs are ones where I'm having a ball, which says ALOT with how bad of luck I've had with his fight. And as time's gone on I've come to appreciate the fight and characters as a whole, it all blends together into a truly out of this world experience (har har).With all this, I wanted to tie in my actual Toonsona in somehow, and what I initially came up with was a silly idea of them being an 'unofficial enforcer' of sorts, they just show up randomly, harass shopkeepers in the name of the Don, and get paid with pizza.And over time that turned into thinking of proper interactions between the two of them, which led to them having a kinda goofy parent/child dynamic, which led to thinking of an AU where my Toon was taken in by him at a young age....Which led to that becoming canon sometime down the line and the Satellite Investors getting sucked into that LOL. I know that's a pretty summarized version of it all, but I can't really place where it was when that very strong enjoyment turned into such a strong attachment and full-on familial selfshipping. It just kinda happened, and I don't care to look back.My attachment to Corporate Clash as a whole has definitely changed alot over time, and even if I wasn't playing Clash much or even at all sometimes I still loved Plutocrat alot, I still loved the Satellite Investors alot. And I still do, obviously! :PThe music is by far some of my favorite pieces out of Corporate Clash, I'm particularly fond of the sigil music / Frozen Assets in the Back and the opening cutscene music / Cosa Nostra ;w; but tbh I love it all!!! Like just hearing the battle music / Snow Squabble kick in during the second cutscene gets me so hyped, and by the time Plutocrat flies over I'm like "YEAAAAH LET'S GO!!!!" and totally amped up for the fight.
And the mechanics of the fight are so unique!!! Just stuff like Deep Freeze, Market Bubble + having to shatter Cogs to pop it, Satellite Investors' order, etc. helps the fight really stand out and always feel fresh. It's amazing how something as simple as changing battle order with Deep Freeze can totally change the tides of a battle, especially with bad enough RNG cough cough AKA my first Plutocrat run.
And can't forget the theming! It's such an interesting mixture, them going with mafia, snow/ice, and space. I know the last one usually gets shoved aside to the dialogue and their names, but I think it's something that the fight would feel incomplete without. Like IDK stuff like one of the Slush Fund lines referring to the other Cogs as "neutron stars" just always gets a smile out of me! The dialogue is clearly made with care, and I'm very grateful for that!!
Also, Mozzarella Styx itself! I love how much care went into this place, especially with the small details. The drink machine, the very dubious menu, the secret outfit! The way the music changes when you go into the freezer!! I also love that it's kinda become the hangout spot for events or updates, if not just because I'm glad it's getting attention.I could definitely keep yapping all day, but you get the idea.Cosmo Kuiper and the Satellite Investors mean so so so much to me. It may have taken me awhile to see them and then come around to them as my favorites (FFS I left this fight for third to last!! I regret that now LOL), but I'm glad I did. I wouldn't change my love of these characters for anything, and I'm so glad for the Corporate Clash's 1.3 update for giving me the funny moon man and his skeleton robot crew! <3❄️ Joining the System Rank-Up Task + first time fighting him on 2/7/2023 ❄️
